Therapy Approach
With more than 17 years of clinical experience and over a decade of teaching and supervision, Chiao-Feng has dedicated her career to supporting children, adolescents, and families through play, expressive arts, sandtray, and activity-based therapies. She specializes in working with young people experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, as well as those impacted by trauma or adverse life experiences. In her work with families, Chiao-Feng views parents’ and caregivers’ participation as a crucial component of the therapeutic process, collaborating closely with them through guidance, feedback, and support so they can become active agents in their children’s growth, healing, and sustained change.
In addition to her work with children, adolescents, and families, Chiao-Feng provides individual counseling for adults navigating grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, cultural adjustment, and relationship concerns. She approaches counseling from a holistic perspective, attending to the biological, psychological, spiritual, and relational dimensions of well-being. Chiao-Feng strives to create a therapeutic relationship that is supportive, collaborative, and respectful, offering clients a safe space for self-understanding, resilience, and growth.
Beyond her clinical and supervisory work, Chiao-Feng serves as a council member of the Association of Taiwan Play Therapy, where she contributes to advancing play therapy education, professional development, and international collaboration.
